Sad News: “Dr. Hilary Urges Laura Tobin to ‘Go to Hospital’ After She Shares Symptoms on Good Morning Britain”

Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin has shared the story of her daughter Charlotte’s birth, revealing that she was born very prematurely in 2017.

Laura Tobin, the weather presenter for Good Morning Britain, has shared the story of how her co-star, Dr. Hilary Jones, recognized the signs of her premature labor. In 2017, Laura went into labor at just 27 weeks pregnant with her first child, Charlotte.

It was Dr. Hilary who urged her to get checked at the hospital after noticing her symptoms.

Laura shared the experience on Laura Hamilton’s Mile Fly Club podcast, recalling that she initially dismissed the stomach pains as Braxton Hicks contractions, but it turned out to be real labor.

Despite her initial dismissal, Debbie from the wardrobe department noticed something was wrong and contacted Dr. Hilary, who immediately suspected that Laura was about to give birth.

Laura, not believing she was in labor, remained calm and went to work. However, Dr. Hilary, who had his own experience with premature twins, insisted that she go to St Thomas’s Hospital, just a short distance from the Good Morning Britain studios. Laura was convinced she would soon be back to present the weather, but her colleagues had other ideas.

When she arrived at the hospital, the calm atmosphere and the realization that Charlotte was on her way set in.

Reflecting on her labor, Laura shared that it wasn’t a stressful experience, and her colleagues did their best to keep her calm. She remembered the moment the midwife informed them that Charlotte was ready to arrive:

“These babies decide when they want to come, and yours wants to come today.” Charlotte was born that afternoon, marking the start of a new chapter for Laura and her husband, Dean Brown.

Laura also spoke about how she and Dean have adjusted their parenting since Charlotte’s early arrival, noting the challenges of raising a child born much earlier than expected.
